Sarah_CHS Meet Net Gen- Chapter One

I was shocked at the way that intelligent adults see us. It shows that they don’t comprehend the way our minds work. I was honestly not expecting it to be so harsh. I think that some of it may be true, but it doesn’t seem so bad to us. And the rest of it is completely untrue. For instance, in the second point where we are called “sceenagers,” to us talking to people online is socializing. We are able to meet and get to know people that we might never meet in person. This communication helps us u… Continue

Craig_CHS Meet the Net Gen-Chapter 1

I think there is a lot of stereotyping going on here. Not all members of the Net Generation are spend all their time social networking and playing computer games. And I think that people are overreacting. Young people have always done things that seem weird to their parents. I agree that people are scared because they don’t understand. I gave up trying to explain what an internet browser is to my parents when they asked how to turn the computer off. People need to understand what happens inside… Continue

I think it would be best to make more of our learning digitally focused. For us do that we would need teachers that are actually knowledgeable in the computer area. That would really help. Continue

Alex Net Generation

During the limited time that our class has been talking about the Net Gen, I have learned many things about it. I've learned that our generation has been sort of the "laughing stock" of the older generations. We are considered to not have any work ethic because we work in a different fashion. I think that we aren't used to working in a "real time" environment. We are more likely to want to get online and chat to people rather than talking face to face with people because we may be embarrassed. I… Continue
